Birmingham (crater)

Birmingham is an impact crater on the moon in the north of the Moon front page. It lies on the northern edge of Mare Frigoris, west of Timaeus and southwest of Epigenes. The crater walls to the vast plain are very badly eroded and leveled completely in several places.

The crater was named in 1935 by the IAU by the Irish astronomer John Birmingham.
