Birra Korça

Birra Korca is an Albanian brewery. It was founded in 1928 by the Italian Umberto Uberti in the Albanian town of Korce Southeast. This makes it the oldest existing brewery in the country. " Birra Korca " is one of the most famous Albanian beer brands.

History

Built in 1928 Umberto Uberti the brewery building in the east of the city. Until 2004 this was in use when it was completely renovated with an investment of 17 million euros and modernized.

Business

With Czech and Italian technology provides Birra Korca next ordinary beer and ale and dark ale ago. From the latter it is the sole producer in Southeastern Europe. A total of 125 people are employed in the brewery. In around 125,000 hectoliters of beer are produced.

With the exception of the water all the necessary ingredients from Germany, Czech Republic and Italy are imported.
