Birutė Kalėdienė ( born Zalogaitytė; born November 2, 1934 in Baltrušiai, Rajongemeinde Šakiai ) is a former Lithuanian javelin thrower, which started in the late 1950s and early 1960s for the Soviet Union.

Achievements

In 1958 she won silver at the European Athletics Championships in Stockholm and presented with 57,49 m on 30 October in Tbilisi a world record.

At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960, she won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, she finished fourth.

After 1966 she worked as trainer. As a Senior athlete she set several world records, including the current ( as at 29 August 2009) in the class F75 ( 26.21 m, 3 September 2008 Malmö).
