Bishop of Ramsbury

The Diocese of Ramsbury (Latin: Dioecesis Lindisfarnensis ) was a United Kingdom located in present-day Roman Catholic diocese based in Ramsbury.

History

The Diocese of Ramsbury was built in 909 cessions of territory of the Diocese of Winchester. In 1058 the Diocese of Ramsbury was merged with the diocese of Sherborne. From the Diocese of Salisbury was born.

The Diocese of Ramsbury was the archbishopric of Canterbury, is a suffragan.

In 1969, the Diocese of Ramsbury was rebuilt as titular.
