Bissee

Bissee is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg -Eckernförde in Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

Bissee lies on Both Kamper lake in a landscape dominated by moraines in Eidertal. To the west runs the Federal Highway 215 from Neumünster to Kiel, east of State Road 404 from Bad Segeberg to Kiel.

History

The village was first mentioned in 1224 as Bisticesse.

By 1970, the village belonged to the district of Plön.

Policy

Of the seven seats in the municipal council the voter community WG has since the municipal election 2003, four seats and the CDU three.

Economy

The community is predominantly agricultural.

Attractions

In the list of cultural monuments in Bissee are registered in the list of monuments of Schleswig- Holstein cultural monuments.

Since 1998 Bissee is annually from May to October an open landscape gallery. On the land and fields of residents Bissees large-scale sculptures and installations by artists are exhibited primarily from the North of Germany.
