Björn Gelotte

Björn Gelotte ( born 1975 ) is a Swedish guitarist and member of the melodic death metal band In Flames.

Career

Gelotte, who previously played with the band Sights, joined In Flames after their drummer Daniel Erlandsson left the band and played the next two albums, The Jester Race and Whoracle, as a new drummer. After also the guitarist Glenn Ljungstrom left In Flames, Gelotte switched to guitar. His successor, Daniel Svensson on drums from the band Sacrilege.

Björn's sister Emma Gelotte was a singer of the metal band All Ends. In the early days of the band Björn helped with his former colleague Jesper Strömblad, who played second guitar with In Flames, his sister and grabbed her under the arms compositionally.

Along with his former bandmate Jesper Strömblad and Daniel Svensson to form the production team " HORDE ". In May 2011, Gelotte opened together with his band mates Peter Iwers in Gothenburg in 2112, the restaurant, whose name derives from the eponymous album by the band Rush.
