Björn Waldegård
Björn Waldegård ( born November 12, 1943 in Solna, Sweden) from Rimbo at Uppsala is a Swedish rally driver who is active with historic rally cars in motorsport today. In recent years, he started together with his son Mattias in a Porsche 911 Carrera. Waldegårds nickname is " Walle ".
Waldegård in 1979 on a Ford Escort RS1800 rally world champion and 1974 on a Porsche 911 Carrera RSR behind the Austrian Franz Wurz Rallycross European vice-champion. Overall, he has been operating successfully for over 40 years in rallying.
His ties to racing cars seen today, especially in a representative manner, for example as a pilot of racing taxis on the occasion of the international mountain race Arosa ClassicCar.
