Bjørn Eidsvåg

Bjørn Eidsvåg ( born March 17, 1954 in Sauda ) is a Norwegian singer and composer. Since 1976 he has released 20 albums and four times the Norwegian Musikerauszeichung Spellemannprisen (1990, 1997, 2002, 2006) been awarded. He graduated in 1980 the theological examination in Oslo.

Life

Bjørn Eidsvåg has been an artist since 1971. He is the author of many texts and tunes (about 300 titles until 2004), all of which are available on CD. Bjørn Eidsvåg has also participated in many other groups as a singer and lyricist.

Since the release of the CD Allemandsland in October 1993 Bjørn Eidsvåg is known throughout Norway; of this CD quickly sold over 60,000 copies. On this success he was able to connect lenger in 1995 with lands which sold over 100,000 copies. After an extensive tour and with the publications of other CD Bjørn Eidsvåg is one of the most successful musicians in Norway. His CD " Told " sold over 200,000 times. Since 1997, he brought five albums and one single to # 1 on the charts in Norway.

In addition to his work as a musician Bjørn Eidsvåg is also active in various organizations such as NOPA GRAMO, and TONO and is a board member of the Norwegian Association of Musicians.
