Bjørn Tore Godal

Bjørn Tore Godal ( born January 20, 1945 in Skien ) is a Norwegian social democratic politician and diplomat.

He studied political science, sociology and history and was a member of the Norwegian Parliament ( Storting ) By 1986 to 2001. From 1991 to 1994, Godal Minister of Trade and Shipping, 1994-1997 Norwegian Foreign Minister and Defense Minister of Norway from 2000 to 2001. From 2003 to 2007 he was the Norwegian ambassador in Berlin.

He is married to Gro Balas.
