BK Derby

Bollklubben Derby is a Swedish sports club from Linköping. The club is best known for his bandy and its football department that competed in each of the first Swedish league. Furthermore, there is still a department of Hockey.

History

BK Derby was founded on 15 April 1912. 1976 BK Derby champion of Division 2 Norra and promotion to the Allsvenskan. The playing time in 1977 but was terminated after only three season success with twelve plus points as Table, and thus sealed the direct re- descent. As relegated was only the fifth place in the Division 2 and one season later was as Penultimate even the crash in the third-class Division 3 in 1981 merged the football department with IF Saab Linköpings FF to form a powerful team in the city. In 1984, at BK Derby a new football department, with BK tungsten forms a gaming community since 2003 and competes under the name BK Derby / tungsten.

In the seasons 1935, 1940, 1949, 1955 and 2005/ 2006, the Bandymannschaft each played in the Allsvenskan, but could never make it in the league.
