Black and white cookie
An American (also sand rolls or cookies Ammon ) is a fine bakery products from flour, sugar, egg, fat, milk or water. As a raising agent ammonium bicarbonate or baking soda is used. The raising agent ammonium bicarbonate gives the pastry its typical aroma.
Preparation
The soft mass is trained to greased and floured sheets. After baking a thick icing ( Fondant ) is coated on the bottom with a pallet. Variants with chocolate glaze or a combination of both are also offered.
