Black Holes and Baby Universes and Other Essays

Einstein's dream. Expeditions to the limits of space-time ( original English title "Black Holes and Baby Universes and Other Essays ") is a list published on 31 March 1993 by the English physicist and mathematician Stephen Hawking autobiographical - popular book. That same year, the German edition appeared ( Translator: Hainer Kober ).

The book consists of twelve essays that were written by the author 1976-1992. The appendix contains a persons and property register and the text of an interview, Hawking gave the discs as part of the BBC series Desert Iceland. In the first part he talks about his life and his illness. Other essays are devoted to his theories of cosmology and black holes and form a sort of sequel to his bestseller A Brief History of Time.
