Black lime

As Loomi (Arabic لومي lumi ) is referred to in the countries of the Arabian Peninsula, a spice that is obtained by boiling the ripe lime in salt water and their subsequent drying in the sun. These dried limes are known in Iran as a limo or limo amani omani and hot in German literature often " black lemons ".

Loomi are often drilled or crushed easily used in langschmorenden stews and rice dishes, to which they impart a strict citrus scent and a refreshing sour flavor, for example, in the Persian court ghorme sabzi.
