Blackburn B-2

The Blackburn B-2 was a two-seat training aircraft. The pattern was - like its predecessor the successful Bluebird series - a biplane with fixed landing gear and an inline engine, but with an all-metal stressed skin fuselage. A characteristic feature was the two adjacent seats for the coach and the student pilot.

First flight of the pattern was on 10 December 1931 from 1932, the pattern should stand up to the Tiger Moth de Havilland. Different engines should bring forward the project. However, from the boom of flight training in the 1930s ultimately benefited only the competitor.
