The monochrome shore Wipper ( Cinclodes antarcticus ), also referred to as Rußbrauner shore Wipper, is a passerine bird of the genus shore Wipper within the family of Ovenbirds. There are two subspecies Cinclodes a antarcticus ( Falkland Islands) and Cinclodes a maculirostris ( Cape Horn ).

It reaches a length of 18-23 cm. The tail is 8.3 cm and the beak 1.9 cm. The males are black to brown black, dark brown colored females. There are a breeding season in October and often another one in December. The nests are cup-shaped and are constructed of grass under a dense vegetation. There are one to three eggs are laid, which are incubated for two weeks. The young fledge after a further two weeks. Their diet consists of invertebrates that they find under rotting seaweed and tussock grass ( Poa flabellata ), but also from food particles and excretions of fur seals and seabirds.
