Blade off testing

The blade off test or blade -out test is a test that is performed on turbofan engines. At full speed a leaf of the fan is blown off to check the behavior of the engine. This should keep the blasted sheet within the propulsion unit to cope with the resulting from the lack of Fanblatt imbalance and stop immediately. Among other things, this test is necessary in order to obtain approval of the engine.
