Blanche Bingley

Blanche Bingley Hillyard ( born November 3, 1863 in Greenford, United Kingdom as Blanche Bingley; † August 6, 1946 in London) was an English tennis player. She won six times from 1886 to the women's singles at Wimbledon. Five times they lost the final Charlotte Dod.

Life

Bingley married in 1887 the tennis player later Olympic champion in the men's doubles, George Hillyard, who was director of the tournament at Wimbledon until 1907-1914. Recently she joined in 1912 at the age of 48 years at the tournament in Wimbledon and reached the semi-finals. She died in London in 1946.
