Bliss is a relatively small impact craters in the northern part of the Moon front, northwest of the great crater Plato, between the Mare Frigoris the north and the Mare Imbrium to the south.

The crater was renamed in 2000 by the IAU by the British astronomer Nathaniel Bliss. Until then, the crater was, going back to Johann Heinrich von Mädler, Plato A known as.
