Blood meal

Blood meal is a nitrogen-rich, fast-acting organic fertilizer from slaughterhouse waste, and is manufactured primarily from chicken blood.

Blood meal is in a group of animal meals. It is dried, ground and blood contains about 12 % nitrogen compounds and many trace elements. Bloodmeal may be applied in liquid form directly on the ground. Although all previous findings, no BSE risk, it is no longer used in organic farming.
