Since 2001, the company Vevey Technologies operates as Bombardier Transportation ( Switzerland ). The vehicles were still being manufactured in the factory in Villeneuve VD.

The " NINA " were offered as a two-to four -car multiple units. They are driven by two two-axle motor bogies under the cabs. Between the individual cars Jacob bogies are attached. Lötschberger RABe 535

For use as RE Lötschberg on the Lötschberg route ( Bern -Spiez -Brig ) from the end of 2008 trainsets were obtained from the BLS under the project name " Panina " thirteen "Panorama" ordered from Bombardier. The " Panina ", which were presented at the official rollout in Villeneuve as "Lötschberger" ( RABe 535101-113 ), based largely on the constructive NINA, have, however, due to the longer travel times more comfortable equipment. Due to the foreseeable scarce fleet an option for eight more units of this type was even before delivery of the first vehicle, redeemed. The commissioning of the first series was accompanied by various problems ( Failed to automatically couple / uncouple, disorders of air conditioners, errors in the passenger information system, etc.), also it was too late. The second series ( 535114-121 ) could be set up for completion in Spring 2010 and still operating.
