Boa Sr.

Boa Senior also Boa Sr. (* 1925, † 26 January 2010 in Port Blair, South Andaman Iceland ) at the time of her death was the last surviving member of the Andamanese tribe of Bo and therefore also the last speaker who has since been extinct Andamanese language called aka -Bo.

Boa Senior survived both diseases that were introduced by the British on the islands of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and the Japanese invasion during the Second World War. Her mother died about forty years before her. Shortly before her death - as of 2005 - the language of Bo Anvita Abbi of, an Indian linguistics professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi was recorded. Nao Jer, her husband, with whom she had no children, died before her. 2004 survived Boa Senior Tsunami. She died in 2010 in a hospital in Port Blair. At this time she was 85 years old and the oldest person in the Andamanese tribes.
