Boarnsterhim
Boarnsterhim ( listen / i?) (Dutch: Boornsterhem ) was a municipality of the province of Friesland (Netherlands). She had 19,502 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013).
The community used the Frisian place names. The administrative headquarters was Grou ( nl.: Grou), the other places in the former rural community are: Akkrum, Aldeboarn ( Oldeboorn ) Dearsum ( Deersum ) Eagum ( Aegum ) Friens, Idaerd ( Idaard ) Jirnsum ( Irnsum ), Nes, Poppenwier ( Poppingawier ) Raerd ( Rauwerd ) Reduzum ( Roordahuizum ) Sibrandabuorren ( Sijbrandaburen ) Terherne ( Terhorne ) Tersoal ( Terzool ) Warstiens, wait ( Wartena ) and Wergea ( Warga ).
The congregation was dissolved on January 1, 2014 and distributed to the neighboring communities Heerenveen, Leeuwarden, Súdwest - Fryslân and the new municipality De Friese Meren.
