Boars in heraldry

In heraldry the Boar is a popular emblem as a male animal of the species wild boar. Its application in blazon as common figure ranges from the whole-body representation to the representation of the tusks. They are referred to as weapons of the animal in real life and also in the heraldic sense. The boar is running to the right or standing upright to be found in the coat of arms.
