Bob McGrath

Robert Emmet "Bob" McGrath ( born June 13, 1932 in Ottawa, Illinois, USA) is an American actor, singer and author.

Career

As a child, McGrath discovered his interest in music. From December 1959, he worked in the Mitch Miller show with, first as a choir member, and later as a soloist. He stopped the show until its end in 1964 received. As " Bobu Magurasu " McGrath has also published numerous singles and albums in Japanese and was very successful in Japan. Since 1969, McGrath plays the role of Bob Johnson in the U.S. children's show Sesame Street ( Sesame Street). He is next to Loretta Long and Caroll Spinney, the only current cast member that is involved since the beginning of the series. In addition, McGrath has written several children's books.

Awards

On 3 March 2006 McGrath was awarded the " Commemorative Medal for the Centennial of Saskatchewan " for his work at the " Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan ."

Private

McGrath and his wife live in Teaneck, New Jersey. The couple has five children.
