Bob Rock
Robert Jens Skirt ( born April 19, 1954 in Vancouver, British Columbia ) is a Canadian record producer and sound engineer.
Life
The former assistant to Bruce Fairbairn produced, among others, for Mötley Crüe, Queen, Bon Jovi, David Lee Roth and Skid Row. Most of the attention he attracted, however, by over 14 years of collaboration with the band Metallica.
When Jason Newsted announced in the spring of 2001, his departure from Metallica, Metallica stood there without a bassist. Therefore skirt helped out for the 2003 album St. Anger on bass.
Despite a statement from the autumn of 2005, in the Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich explained that Rock " will probably remain for eternity, our producer ," Metallica committed for the album Death Magnetic Rick Rubin.
