Bob Sullivan (ice hockey)

Robert " Bob" Sullivan ( born November 29, 1957 in Rouyn -Noranda, Quebec ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. During his career he played for the Hartford Whalers in the National Hockey League. He is the cousin of NHL stars Steve Sullivan, who also wears the jersey number because of the exemplary role of Bob Sullivan 26.

Career

The left winger played in the 1982/83 season a year in the National Hockey League for the Hartford Whalers and completed 62 games in which he scored 18 goals and 19 prepared. He was selected in the seventh round in the NHL Amateur Draft 1977 116th position of the New York Rangers after he had scored 45 goals for Chicoutimi. A year later, he was pulled again in the NHL Amateur Draft. This time the Atlanta Flames secured in the eleventh round to 180th place his rights.

After Sullivan scored 47 goals for Binghamton in the season 1981/82, he won the Dudley "Red" Garrett Memorial Award as rookie of the year in the AHL and was appointed to the All- Star team. Later he was able to record several hits in Europe. In the years after 2000 was active among others in the EV Lindau as player-coach. Until recently, he was the coach of the women's team of EC Oberpfaffenhofen and forwards in a hockey stadium Pfaffenhofener shop.

Since 2007, Bob Sullivan in inline hockey at ISC Mannheim active.
