Bogdand

Bogdand (Hungarian Bogdand, German soil village or Bogendorf ) is a municipality in the district of Satu Mare in Romania, with 3227 inhabitants ( 2002).

Structure

The municipality includes the villages Bogdand corundum, Ser, Babta.

Geography

The community Bogdand located in the southeast of the county Satu Mare and is bordered to the west on the community Supur, in the north on the community Socond, on the northeast by the Maramureş County, in the east on the community Hodod and on the south by the Salaj county.

The municipality is located in the hills of Codrus, 20 km west of Cehu Silvaniei and 60 km south of Satu Mare, the capital of the homonymous district.

Attractions

  • The wooden church Sfintii Arhangheli Mihail şi Gavriil, built in 1723 eingemeindeten village corundum, look under monument protection.
