Bogdanuša

Bogdanuša (also Bogdanuša ) is a Croatian, white grape. The vine comes from the island of Hvar, where it represents the major part of the area under vines. On the island of Brac is the second most important variety. On the mainland, the main distribution area is located in an area between Split and Makarska.

The variety is grapes, which gives a dry golden-yellow wine with an alcohol content of up to 13 percent by volume. He is also known as Prosecco and a Dalmatian dessert wine served.

Ampelographic varietal characteristics

In the ampelography the habit is described as follows:

  • The shoot tip is open. She is hairy white wool. The bronze-colored young leaves are hairy on the other hand spinnwebig.

The berries ripen about 30 to 35 days after which the good Dels. The variety is based on international standards so as late maturing.

Yields are in deep soils usually too high, so that targeted grape thinning reduced yields must be performed to achieve good wine qualities. Bogdanuša is a variety of the noble vine (Vitis vinifera ). It has hermaphrodite flowers and is thus self- fruiting. When the wine-growing economic disadvantage is avoided, no return delivered to have male plants grow.
