The DIY Element System GmbH (formerly Rudolf Bohnacker systems ) is a medium-sized company with headquarters based in Southern Rottenacker near Ulm. The company mainly produces shelving systems for end users.

Structure

Under the brand element system are mainly shelf systems but also other products such as table legs through DIY chains such as Obi sold for the DIY area. The former brand Huwil shoptec which fitters supplied with pharmacies and shop fitting systems, was spun under the insolvency in 2010 as an independent company and now operates under the name shoptec GmbH in Munderkingen. History

In 1954 the company was founded in Blaubeuren Rudolf Otto Bohnacker. In 1959 the expansion into a new plant in Rottenacker. 1977 was the work in Rottenacker connected to the European rail network. 1986, the tooling for the independent WMB GmbH was spun. 1992, a factory was opened in Csót in Hungary. After the withdrawal in 1993 by Rudolf Bohnacker senior from the company this was divided between the two sons.

Rudolf Bohnacker junior took over the factory in Rottenacker; the company traded under the name Rudolf Bohnacker GmbH. The Rudolf Bohnacker GmbH produced shelving systems for end users which were sold through DIY chains. Rudolf died in 1998 Bohnacker junior and his heirs continued over the years, a number of managing directors. After several lawsuits, the company became the Bohnacker Group GmbH with the brands element system, trend system and Huwil shoptec unnamed. The Huwil shoptec brand was founded by the purchase of the company Huwil in 2000.
