Boiko Zvetanov

Boyko Tsvetanov ( Bulgarian Бойко Цветанов; born June 14 1955 in Sofia) is a Bulgarian tenor.

Training

After his studies at the National Conservatory of his hometown Tsvetanov won prizes in international competitions in Bilbao and Sofia. Thus he was able to gain attention at a young age and was engaged as first tenor at the Opera House Sofia in the same year (1988). He played the central tenor roles in works such as Rigoletto, Aida and Attila and could very soon (1989 ) debut at the Vienna State Opera. However, parallel, he continued to take private lessons with Boris Christoff and Carlo Bergonzi.

Artistic work

Since the season 1991/92 Tsvetanov is engaged at the Zurich Opera House. Here he sang all the great tenor roles, such as in La Bohème, Luisa Miller, La forza del destino or Pagliacci. Tsvetanov guest appearances at all the great houses of the world, but especially in the European languages ​​.
