The Boise Airport ( English Boise Airport ) is an airport in Boise, the capital of the U.S. state of Idaho.

History

In 1936, the city of Boise began to set up an airport at its present location, to release the first airport in 1926. From the previous location (now part of the campus of Boise State University) in 1939 also placed the steel hangar at the airline Varney Airlines and later converted into a reception building.

During World War II the United States Army Air Corps took over the airport; time, more than 6,000 men were stationed in Boise and were trained, among others, the models Boeing B -17 and Consolidated B -24. 1946, the airport was fully passed back to the town of Boise.
