Boltzmann Medal
The Boltzmann Medal is awarded by the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics ( IUPAP ) for outstanding achievements in statistical physics. It is awarded every three years on the Statphys Meeting of IUPAP and is named after Ludwig Boltzmann, whose likeness, received the medal. She is considered one of the highest awards in statistical physics - are considered the founding fathers of Boltzmann and Maxwell - and is only awarded to physicists who have not yet received the Nobel Prize.
