Bonaventura Aliotti

Bonaventura Aliotti (* 1640 in Palermo, † 1690 ) was an Italian organist and composer of the Baroque.

Bonaventura Aliotti, known during his lifetime under the name Padre Palermino, worked in Palermo Ferrara and Padua. He was like his teacher Giovanni Battista Fasolo at the Minorit. Aliotti first worked in Palermo and settled in 1671 in Padua, where he created another church music. In October 1674 he moved to Ferrara and got there a job as organist at the church of the brotherhood " Confraternita della Morte ". Only four of the eleven ascribed oratorios are obtained. His best known work is the oratorio " Il Sansone " of 1686th This was in 2001, probably as his first work, are protected by the "Ensemble Elyma " under Gabriel Garrido on audio recorded, more oratorio, "Il Trionfo della morte per il peccato d ' Adamo "and" Santa Rosalia " ( 1687 ).
