Bonnieure

The Bonnieure is a river in France, which runs in the Charente, in the Poitou -Charentes. It rises in the municipality of Roumazières -Loubert, drained generally in a westerly direction and joins after 47 kilometers, at Puygelier, in the municipality of Puyréaux, as a left tributary of the Charente. In its lower reaches it flows on the northern edge of the karst area of La Rochefoucauld along wherever again reduce the water flow caves and underground caves. Particularly affected by these phenomena is a left tributary, the Tardoire that at normal water levels the Bonnieure no longer achieved but disappears entirely in the karst caves.
