Borawli

The Borawli is a 812 m high stratovolcano in Ethiopia in the Danakil Depression of the Afar region immediately east of the Afrerasees, near the border with Eritrea.

A native of the Holocene volcano is located in one of the most seismically active zones of the earth, the great African grave breach, and is part of the volcanic fact Ali chain.

The upper part of the mountain is composed of trachytic lava flows overlie the older basaltic lava flows. Rhyolitic obsidian lava domes - on its south side could be the cause of the discoverable in the whole region of pumice lapilli Afrerasees.

The Borawli is not currently active, the date of its last eruption is unknown.
