Border guard

The Border Guard is the governmental and supranational sovereignty. The protection of lying within the boundaries of the area, which is defined by international law, is to be ensured by the monitoring, control and defense of borders and their surrounding areas. Thus, persons or goods checked at the border crossing by police or military organizational units to fend off threats.

The Border Guard is not to be confused with the border supervision of customs.
