Borderline (Madonna song)

Borderline is a song by Madonna from 1984, which was written and produced by Reggie Lucas. It appeared on Madonna's first album.

History

1982 work began on Madonna's first album, previously had Madonna and Reggie Lucas compiled the songs provided. Later, Lucas added, Borderline, after the recording of Madonna was unhappy with the overall result. After Madonna's opinion of the hit was allegedly instrumental, this led to the dispute. For the published version of John " Jellybean " Benitez worked the song order by Madonna wishes.

The first release was on February 15th place in 1984, with a worldwide top 40 hit and the re-release in 1986 Borderline even made number 1 in Ireland.

Music Video

In the music video was done by Mary Lambert Director who also took over the government to Like a Virgin and Material Girl. This was taken in Los Angeles in the period from 30 January to 2 February 1984. Initially dance Madonna and her friends break dancing, then they discovered a manager, and they both ride in a car to a studio. In the studio Madonna shows next to a couple of scenes and in front of some cameras, a performance, while they photographed a photographer and looks after the pictures. After they came out of a phone booth, the performances go on, and there are also some other scenes with Madonna's friends appear. In one scene, she tries to flirt with a man that goes away after that and is discovered by Madonna in a bar playing pool. In the kiosk, a man sees a photo of Madonna on a magazine. Now Madonna rejects him and sprayed it on the scenes, while they will also be photographed. At the end of Madonna playing with her friends billiards.
