Borgo San Lorenzo

Borgo San Lorenzo is an Italian town with 17 952 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Province of Florence, Region of Tuscany.

Geography

The city is the capital of Mugello. It lies in a valley on the southern slope of the Apennines, about 20 km northeast of Florence. The surface area is 146.1 km ² and the population density amounts to 122 inhabitants per km ². In the district Casaglia stems from the Lamone River, which flows at Ravenna in the Adriatic Sea.

The districts include Arliano, Casaglia Faltona, Grezzano, Luco di Mugello, Panicaglia, Poggiolo - Salaiole, Polcanto, Rabatta, Razzuolo, Ronta and Sagginale.

Borgo San Lorenzo borders on the following communities: Fiesole, Firenzuola, Marradi, Palazzuolo sul Senio, Pontassieve, Scarperia e San Piero, Vaglia and Vicchio.
