Borgonovo Val Tidone

Borgonovo Val Tidone is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 7774 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Piacenza in Emilia -Romagna. The municipality is situated approximately 20 km west-southwest of Piacenza and about 55 kilometers south-east of Milan. It lies at the Tidone in the homonymous valley, the Val Tidone, and south of the Po.

History

Borgonovo is a founding Piacenza from the year 1196 as a fortification and city plan (square system).

Traffic

The former Strada Statale 412 della Val Tidone (now provincial road ) leading from the province of Pavia coming through the church to the Lago di Trebecco.
