Borki Predojević

Borki Predojević ( born April 6, 1987 in Teslić, Yugoslavia ) is a chess player from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since 2003 he is an International Master and Grandmaster since May 2005. His current Elo rating is 2617 (as of May 2011), so it is on the second place of the Bosnian Elo ranking behind Predrag Nikolić. His previous highest Elo rating was 2654 in September 2009.

Youth Chess

The chess games he got to the age of eight. His greatest successes came chess youth in Greece: he was U12 European Champion 2001 U14 European Championship and 2003 U16 World Champion 1999.

Tournaments

Predojevic been very successful in rating tournaments such as the First Saturday in Budapest (2002 tied for first IM tournament, 2003 First IM tournament, 2004 First GM tournament ) and the Third Saturday in Novi Sad (2002 first place). In 2006 he won the Metalis Open in Bizovac, Croatia, in 2007 he won the Zagreb Open. In the Bosnian Individual Championship in 2007 in Sarajevo, he finished second behind Predrag Nikolić. In 2008 he won the 13th hit Open in Nova Gorica, 2009, the Acropolis Open in Chalkida.

National

For Bosnia and Herzegovina, he participated in the U18 European Championship in 2002 partly in Balatonlelle, Hungary and was awarded a bronze medal for his individual score of 3 out of 5 on the first reserve board. He played in four chess Olympiads, 2004 in Calvia on the fourth and 2006 in Turin, 2008 in Dresden and in 2010 in Khanty-Mansiysk on the second board, and went on to score 30.5 points from 46 games, where he lost only two games.

Club teams

Predojevic played in the Yugoslav, Serbian (for the SK ZTP in the 2007/ 08 season on top board ), Croatian (for the ŠK Rijeka), Hungarian ( for ASE Paks) and Slovenia (for the ZSK Maribor) 1st League. In the Bosnian Premijer League, he plays for the ŠK Bosna Sarajevo in every season since the founding of the League in 2003 and was eight times team champion. In Germany he played in the 2006/07 season for the SK Zehlendorf in the 2nd Bundesliga Nord on top board. The team rose to the Chess League. Since the 2012/13 season he played in Austria for the SK Maria Saal.
