Born into the '90s is the debut album by R. Kelly and the background band Public Announcement. It was released in January 1992 and contained national hits like She's Got That Vibe, Dedicated, Honey Love and Slow Dance ( Hey Mr. DJ).

Recording

1991 R. Kelly wrote a contract with Jive Records. The first release " Born into the '90s " (recorded with backing band Public Announcement ) made ​​in 1992 for rave reviews. The album was produced by R. Kelly himself and the Afro-American producer and founder of Blackground Records Barry Hankerson. It has 11 tracks and almost 45 minutes long, a rather short album.
