Born of Osiris

Born of Osiris (also known under the abbreviation BoO ) is an American deathcore band from Palatine. The band initially played under the name Diminished, then renamed itself but in Your Heart Graved to. Subsequently, the band changed its name to Rosecrance, until they finally, after they signed a record deal with Sumerian Records, Born of Osiris called. The idea for the name came from the Egyptian god Osiris.

History

2003, the band under the name Diminished was founded in Palatine. In the same year they released their first self-titled demo diminished. A year later, the band released their second demo Youm Wara Youm, after they had been renamed in Your Heart graved. In the same year appeared with Your Heart Engraved These Messages another demo recording.

Published in 2006, the band, then known as Rosecrance, two more demos, each with two songs, as a self-titled EP. 2007 the band managed with the already sixth demo Narnia the breakthrough after the record label Sumerian Records became aware of the band. After the band had signed a record deal, they called around in Born of Osiris.

On 2 October 2007, the band released their debut album then The New Reign, which was produced with the help of Michael Keene of The Faceless. She then toured with bands like Winds of Plague, Veil of Maya and Beneath the Massacre by the U.S.. In summer 2008 the band at the Summer Slaughter tour of Britain took part, where they played alongside Suicide Silence and As Blood Runs Black.

On 7 July 2009 the second studio album was released under the name of A Higher Place, the band stormed the number 73 on the Billboard 200, and the successor to The Discovery was published on March 22, 2011.

In early 2012 Born of Osiris shared on her Facebook page that they have separated themselves from Jason Richardson, and announced a new album which should be released in the summer or autumn of the same year.
