Borough of Rugby

Rugby is a local government district with the status of a borough in the county of Warwickshire in England. Administrative seat is the town of Rugby, in which about two-thirds of the population lives. Other important towns are Binley Woods Brinklow, Clifton -upon- Dunsmore, Dunchurch, Long Lawford, Ryton -on- Dunsmore, Stretton -on- Dunsmore, Wolston and Wolvey.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Municipal Borough of Rugby and Rugby Rural District.
