Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs

The Bossier - Shreveport Mudbugs were a professional ice hockey team, which came from the city of Bossier City - Shreveport in Louisiana. The team was a member of the Central Hockey League and wore their home games at CenturyTel Center.

History

From 1997 to 2001 the team of the Mudbugs still played in the Western Professional Hockey League, where they result in the Taylor Cup won three times from 1998 to 2001, and from 2001 it was a member of the Central Hockey League. From 1997 to 2000, the team first had the name Shreveport Mudbugs, but since 2000 it was known as the Bossier - Shreveport Mudbugs.

The Mudbugs were one of the few successful teams in the region and could just celebrate successes in the recent past. In the CHL playoffs the season 2005 / 06, the team reached the final of the Ray Miron President's Cup, where they failed at the Laredo Bucks. Previously, she had won both the division title, and the Conference title.

The team was coached from 2000 by former Mudbugs player Scott Muscutt.
