Boštjan Nachbar

Bostjan Nachbar ( born July 3, 1980 in Slovenj Gradec, SR Slovenia) is a Slovenian basketball player. The 2.06 m tall small forward from 2002 to 2008 in the NBA and is currently active at the Spanish club FC Barcelona under contract.

Career

Neighbor was active until 2000 at various clubs in Slovenia. He then moved to Benetton Treviso in the Italian, where it multiplies and got playing time and Italian champion. In the 2002 NBA Draft he was selected in 15th place of the Houston Rockets. For this club he played until 2004, before joining the Hornets to New Orleans. There he was able to increase its average operating time over 20 minutes per game. After he was first drawn to the Hornets to Oklahoma City, joined neighboring beginning of 2006 to the New Jersey Nets, where he again got coming regular operating time of the Einwechselbank. In 2008 he returned to Europe and signed with MBK Dynamo in Moscow, Russia. There he remained for a year before he moved to the Turkish champions Efes Pilsen Istanbul. After two years in which it was inferior in the semifinals Fenerbahçe Ülker 2010 final and 2011, ended the contract and neighbors had to undergo an ankle surgery, which he missed the 2011 European Championship and forced him to take a longer break. As a Slovenian national team neighbor had previously participated in the European Championships in 2003, 2005 and 2009, when they narrowly missed a medal with fourth place, as well as the World Championships in 2006 and 2010. In early 2012 he signed a contract with the ULEB Eurocup winner UNICS from Kazan. The Russian club he plays in the ULEB Euro Cup 2011 /12. For the 2012/13 season, the reigning German champions Brose Baskets Bamberg announced the commitment of neighbor for a year. After a successful season with Bamberg, which ended with the German championship for the team, joined by neighboring Spain and received a contract until 2014 at the basketball section of FC Barcelona.
