Botswana Football Association

The Botswana Football Association ( BFA) is the governing body of football clubs in Botswana.

The association was founded in 1966 under the name " Botswana National Football Association ( BNFA ) " and is a member of FIFA and the Confederation of African Football ( CAF) since 1978.

The association organizes football in Botswana and has among other things the national soccer teams and leagues.

The BFA provides 15 recognized by FIFA and CAF referees and assistants, four referee instructors and three coach educators.

Administrative structure

An important role in all areas of administration play the 16 regional football associations and their representatives.

The Association is managed by the General Assembly. This includes all 16 members of the National Football Council, four representatives of the regional football associations as well as 11 other people, such as the women's soccer committee and the leagues to. The National Fußballrat is the second highest court in the BFA, followed by the eight-member Executive Committee.
