Boucicaut Master

Boucicaut Master or Master of the Maréchal de Boucicaut is the Notname a firm operating in the first quarter of the 15th century French or Flemish book painter, whose works 1405-1420 are detectable in Paris. It is named after the Book of Hours of Marshal of France, Jean le Meingre de Boucicaut, which he illustrated by 1410-1415.

With his naturalistic interest and innovative illumination of the Boucicaut Master is a pioneer such great artists such as Jan van Eyck and Jean Fouquet.
