Brady Dougan

Brady Dougan, William ( born August 30, 1959 in Urbana, Illinois) is an American bank manager and Chief Executive Officer ( CEO) of the Swiss bank Credit Suisse.

Career

Dougan studied economics at the University of Chicago and graduated in 1982 with a Master of Business Administration in Finance from. He began as a manager in the derivative business of Bankers Trust Co. and in 1990 joined Credit Suisse First Boston. Later he became head of the Credit Suisse Americas region. As of July 2004, he headed the investment banking division of Credit Suisse, since May 2007 he has been Chief Executive Officer ( CEO ) of Credit Suisse as the successor to Oswald Gruebel. With its preserved in spring 2010 bonus in shares worth 70.9 million Swiss francs, which comes from a five-year employee stock ownership plan from the year 2004/2005, as well as a basic salary of 1.3 million Swiss francs and a bonus of 17.9 million Swiss francs for the year 2009, Dougan is true with a total compensation of 90.1 million francs in 2009 as the highest-paid bank managers in Europe. His fortune was estimated in 2012 by the Swiss business magazine balance to 150 million francs.

Dougan is since 2005 member of the Board (Board of Directors ) of the U.S. biotechnology company Humacyte Inc. He is also a 2013 member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Chicago since January.

Dougan is married to a professor of biomedical Yale University and has a son and a daughter from his first marriage. He is a regular jogger and participates in marathons. He has a residence in the canton of Zurich Erlenbach and in Greenwich, Connecticut, in the United States.
