Fire is a municipality in the Upper Palatinate Tirschenreuth and a member of the administrative community Neusorg.

The community is a recognized resort and one of the few communities that have a youth council.

The municipality Brand has seven officially named districts:

History

Documented the settlement fire was first mentioned around 1180. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.

The municipal election held on 2 March 2008 led to the following distribution of seats in the local council:

  • CSU: 8 seats
  • Citizenship / SPD: 4 seats
  • AWG: 1 seats

Coat of arms

Blazon: blue crossed a burning silver branch and a silver Rodungsbeil with gold leaf.

The community leads the coat of arms since 1950.

Economy

The largest employer in the village is the Schiettinger Group, which manufactures packaging from solid or corrugated cardboard. The company PROBAU - solid house built solid brick houses.

Museum

The Max Reger Memorial Room in City Hall the community remembers the composer Max Reger. It was opened on March 25, 1973 on the occasion of his 100th birthday.

Shown are scores, letters and photographs of the musician as well as furnishings from the Birthplace. Furthermore, certificates, medals and Max Reger's death mask can be seen.
