Outlaw is an American Western series that aired from 1965 to 1966 on the U.S. television network NBC.

The officer Jason McCord ( Chuck Connors ) is the only survivor of the Battle of Bitter Creek. He is then suspected of being deserted from cowardice before the battle. McCord is demoted, he loses the military rank, epaulettes and buttons are torn from his uniform, his sword is broken. Then he is chased out of the fort. (This proscription is shown as an intro of each episode. ) He gets a job as a surveyor for the railroad and travels through the country from now on, to find evidence of his innocence. From the saber pieces he has forged a long knife that is helpful to him in individual episodes.
